HotelKey night audit reports for IHG owners: what the final audit email contains

DeskWatch · 2026

IHG moved its US select-service properties to HotelKey. It emails a smaller, cleaner set of reports than choiceADVANTAGE — good for the footing, thinner on no-shows and rate variance.

The nightly set

ReportWhat it containsOwner use
Final AuditPostings by code, tax, payments, ledger balances, statistics for the nightPosted vs ledger, adjustments, drawer
Departures listWho checked out, folio balances at departureDeparted-unsettled folios; the folio side of write-offs
Room count summaryRooms by status: occupied, vacant clean, vacant dirty, out of orderOccupied vs sold vs housekeeping — the sleeper check
Direct bill agingCompany receivables by ageOver-60-day accounts still taking stays

What is missing compared with Choice

An owner-facing review on HotelKey therefore leads with adjustments, the footing, the drawer and the room-count join, and marks no-shows and rate variance as "not on this PMS" rather than guessing.

Getting the reports to a reader

HotelKey's report scheduling takes multiple recipients. Add one more address; the existing recipients keep getting theirs. Nothing at the desk changes.
