Terms of service
Plain-English terms for using DeskWatch. If anything here is unclear, email hello@watchmydesk.com before you rely on the service.
The service
DeskWatch reads hotel night audit reports and related documents you send us and reports what they show: patterns, exceptions and totals. It is a review of the documents, not a guarantee of their accuracy, and not accounting, legal, tax or investigative advice. Decisions about staff, charges, refunds and policy remain yours.
Your responsibilities
- You confirm you are entitled to send us the reports and documents you forward, and that doing so does not breach any agreement with your brand, PMS provider or staff.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the house rules you give us; our findings depend on them.
- You will not send us full card numbers or other data we have said we do not want.
Fees
$99 per property per month unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, billed monthly in advance. The first month is free. Cancel at any time by email or text; service ends at the close of the paid month and no further charges apply.
What we do not promise
We read what the reports contain. If a report is missing, malformed, or omits a section (some PMS systems do not print no-shows or rate variance), our output will say so rather than guess. We do not promise to detect every irregularity, and a clean report is not a certification that nothing went wrong.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost revenue, staff disputes or chargebacks.
Data
Handled as described in our privacy policy. You own your data; we hold it only to provide the service.
Termination
Either party may end the service at any time. We may suspend service if fees are unpaid or the service is misused. On termination we delete your data as described in the privacy policy.
Governing law
Wisconsin, USA.
Changes
We will post changes here and note the date. Last updated 16 September 2026.
These terms are a starting point written for a small service. Have your own attorney review them before you rely on them in a dispute.
